History of ODLTF

Our Lady of Tears Foundation was founded in Nigeria by Rev. Sr. Dr. Stephen Nnoruka and officially registered as a non-governmental organisation on 30th September 2019


Education Support Programme

Through this programme, we uphold our faith by opening doors of learning for children in need. By supporting access to education, we nurture hope, dignity, and a brighter future, empowering young lives to grow in knowledge, character, and purpose under God’s loving care.

Through this programme, we express our faith by supporting displaced persons in times of hardship. By offering care, protection, and compassion, we restore dignity, renew hope, and help families rebuild their lives under God’s loving care.

Rev. Sr. Dr Stephen Nnoruka

Foundress

Rev. Sr. Dr. Stephen Nnoruka is the Foundress of the foundation and the visionary behind its mission of faith-driven service to humanity. Guided by deep spiritual conviction and compassion for the vulnerable, she leads with wisdom, integrity, and a lifelong commitment to justice, dignity, and love for the poor. Her leadership continues to inspire hope and purposeful action in the service of God and humanity. 

Rev. Sr Maryrose Okeke

Secretary and Programme Manager

With a heart for service and a strong commitment to excellence, Rev. Sr. Maryrose works closely with teams and partners to ensure that each initiative reflects the values of faith, dignity, and stewardship. Her role is central to translating vision into action, ensuring that programmes are well-structured, impactful, and aligned with the mission to serve humanity under God’s loving care.

Mrs Eucharia Chinwendu Nzelu

Financial Manager

Mrs. Eucharia Chinwendu Nzelu serves as the Financial Manager, faithfully overseeing the foundation’s resources with transparency, accountability, and stewardship. Guided by Christian values, she ensures that all funds are managed responsibly to support the mission and sustain programmes that bring hope, care, and empowerment to those in need.

Sr. Rosemary Anyahuru

Publicity Manager

Sr. Rosemary Anyahuru serves as the Publicity Manager, dedicated to sharing the foundation’s mission, activities, and impact with clarity and purpose. Through effective communication and outreach, she helps amplify the voice of the foundation, promote awareness, and inspire support, ensuring that the message of faith, compassion, and service reaches wider communities.
